John,
Just in case you didn't see May's issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine (pages 59-60) that $10 guitar, that no one wanted, is a REAL Maccaferri ( I know... so what right!). No real big deal but how many Vintage instruments can you find for that kind of money!? According to the article it is a 1953 and "these little plastic wonders can sound remarkably good. So good that Maccaferri's friend, Segovia, endorsed them..." Classical guitarist Ray De La Torre and pop-jazz great Harry Volpe helped promote the guitar by playing them.
Just a side comment...
I guess everyone forgot that these "auctions" help keep this great forum up and running. I can only make assumptions as to why no one, other than John, bid. So I won't. But please remember...even if it is a piece of cardboard you are bidding on... the end result is a Great FREE forum for us all.

THANKS LANCE!
